Richmond Magazine Honors SOLAC Volunteer

The October issue of Richmond Magazine awarded the 11th Annual Theresa Pollak Prizes for Excellence in the Arts. Ann Swanson, a SOLAC volunteer and collaborator, was honored with the "Film" award for her most recent documentary: "Tupe: The Forgotten".

Ann came to Lima in 2006 to volunteer with SOLAC, spending four weeks working in Colegio Alto Peru, and producing a pair of short films. She returned in 2007 to study at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru for a semester. During that time, she continued her work in Colegio Alto Peru, developing an after-school art program. She also traveled with SOLAC staff to Tupe, where she filmed and produced "Tupe: The Forgotten".
